About us
Our perspective on good
Humans for Good was founded to make it a little easier to make a difference, and to bridge the gap between caring and doing. Below are a few of the principles that guide and shape our community.
Imperfect action > perfect inaction: we believe that change starts at home, and that every step toward a better world counts - no matter how small. We remain optimistic that we can influence the people, organisations and world around us through our everyday lives. And we want to harness untapped goodwill and our collective choices toward better outcomes. How different would the world be if we were all using our time, skills, networks and finances for good?
Diversity of thought = necessary for impact: we have very intentionally called the community 'Humans' For 'Good'. We share similar values and a sense of purpose, but represent different ages, lived experiences, job titles and causes that we are passionate about. There is so much to learn from each other, and we go farther when we have constructive conversations and work together
Community is co-created: community is not created and led by one person, but by many. We each have a role to play and unique value to bring to the world. The more that we contribute and give back to other members, the better and more impactful our community will be for everyone
